The Lamesa Golden Tornadoes are the End Zone Team of the Week! After a 1-6 start to the season, Lamesa swept the district, going 3-0, recently topping Denver City on the road 33-29. With the win, the Golden Tors have clinched their first district title since 2001! Head Coach Efrain Ramos is in his first year as Lamesa’s Head Coach; he knows a thing or two about winning. He was the Anna Coyotes Defensive Coordinator last year in their State Title run. A few of the same principles passed down from Coach Parr have been implemented and Lamesa has bought in. They now battle River Road for the Bi-District on Thursday. They two met earlier in the season with River Road winning 35-34 in overtime after Lamesa failed on a two-point try. Kickoff is Thursday at 7 p.m. from Frenship.
